Can I visit indoors?
The guidance for visitation is that outdoor visits are still recommended, however with inclement weather and the cold coming we will be offering indoor visits with the guidance we received from DHHS/CDC. In the event we have a Covid-19 positive case we will not be allowed to have indoor visitation.
Can I visit in my family members apartment?
Not at this time. We are allowing scheduled visits in a designated area. You may call the concierge at 207-775-7775 to schedule your visit.
Can I bring my family to the visit?
Two people from the same household visit.
Can children visit?
All visitors must be able to adhere to the core visitation principles which include masking and social distancing.
Can I bring my dog to visit my family member?
The current guidelines do not permit pets for indoor visitation.
Can I bring my family member food and beverage?
You may bring sealed food that you check in at the time of screening, however no food can be brought into or consumed in the visitation area.
How many visits can I have in a week?
We do not limit visitation, it is a first come first serve basis, however we will make every accommodation to assist everyone the opportunity to schedule a visit.
What is a compassionate visit?
A compassionate visit is different than a regular visit and may be appropriate for residents on hospice or those requiring additional care needs. These visits must be prearranged and scheduled with members of our care team and should still follow social distancing and masking requirements.
How long will the visit last?
Each visit will be 20 minutes in duration, this assists us in scheduling visits every thirty minutes and allows time to clean in between visits and for residents to get to the visitation area.
What days are visits allowed?
Starting November 7, 2020 visits will be scheduled primarily on Saturdays and Sundays between the hours of 10AM – 3PM. If extenuating circumstances exist, we will schedule visits on Fridays between the hours of 10AM – 3PM.
Can an out of state relative visit?
We follow the same requirements as the State of Maine in regarding out of state visitors. If you have any questions, please reach out to us directly.
Will I be required to wear a mask during the visit?
Yes, all visitors will be required to wear a mask the entire time they visit.
Will my family member have to wear a mask during the visit?
Yes, residents will be required to wear a mask.
When would visitation be cancelled?
Visits will be cancelled only in extreme weather or a facility emergency. All cancellations will be posted on the website the website the morning of the scheduled visits. Families that have visits scheduled will also be contacted directly.
